Dry Van Lease-On FAQs
Specific questions about leasing on with a dry van.
Do I need my own MC authority to lease on?
No. That's the whole point of leasing on — you run under our MC, our DOT, our insurance, and our authority. You save $300–800/month versus running your own MC.
How much do I keep per load?
75–85% of gross revenue depending on the load type. Brokered loads pay 75%. Direct shipper contracts pay up to 85%. We deduct only fuel surcharge passes, ELD, and any agreed-upon services. No hidden fees.
What if I already have an MC but want to lease on?
We can transition you. You'll temporarily place your authority in inactive status while leased on. If you ever want to leave, your MC re-activates — no permanent loss.
Do I need to provide a trailer?
Yes for traditional lease-on. We also offer power-only routes if you only have a tractor — see /lease-on/power-only/ for that program.
How quickly can I start?
Most drivers are running freight within 7–10 days of application. Onboarding includes orientation, DOT paperwork, ELD setup, and insurance certificate issuance.
What's the difference between lease-on and dispatch service?
Dispatch service ($250/wk flat or 6%) is for owner-operators with their OWN MC who just need someone finding loads. Lease-on is for those who don't have an MC and want to run under ours — broader scope, higher-touch service, deeper percentage of gross.
