Issue: DAIMLER TRUCKS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 AND 2011 ARGOSY, CASCADIA, AND CORNOADO HEAVY TRUCKS MANUFACTURED FROM JANUARY 4, 2010, THROUGH NOVEMBER 30, 2010, EQUIPPED WITH 40K AIRLINER SUSPENSIONS. THE REAR SUSPENSION MAY FRACTURE THROUGH THE CENTER BOLT HOLE AFTER VEHICLE ASSEMBLY.
Risk: IF UNDETECTED, OVER TIME THE REAR END OF THE SPRING MAY SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE CAUSING A HAZARDOUS ROAD DEBRIS SITUATION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Risk: INCOMPLETE INSTALLATION OF THE PITMAN ARM RETAINING MECHANISM MAY ALLOW UNTHREADING OF THE RETAINER. DISENGAGEMENT OF THE PITMAN ARM FROM THE STEERING BOX MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING AND CRASH COULD OCCUR.
