What this component does

Haldex EBS is one of the two dominant electronic braking systems for commercial truck trailers (alongside WABCO). Haldex EBS provides advanced trailer brake control — load-sensing, automatic slack adjustment, ABS + EBS integration with the tractor. Stronger in trailer applications than tractor; tractor-side EBS is dominated by Bendix in North America. Haldex was acquired by SAF-Holland in 2021, but the Haldex brand continues. Common on dry van and reefer trailers.
