Dump Truck & Hotshot Flatbed Driver — Orlando, FL
Two trucks, one operation, based in Orlando. A dump truck that runs on a CDL-B and a hotshot pulling a 30 ft flatbed that needs a CDL-A. You tell us which one you want — or both, if you are qualified for both. We cover your travel to the truck, which is why this is open to drivers across FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD & NJ.
What this pays
Pay is based on your experience. That is the honest answer and it is the whole answer. A driver with ten years on a tri-axle and a clean record does not get quoted the same as a driver who just cleared twelve months, and the dump truck and the hotshot are not paid on the same structure either. We are not going to print a range here that would be wrong for most of the people reading it.
What moves your number up:
- Verifiable years actually in the seat
- Time specifically on a dump truck, or pulling a flatbed
- A clean MVR and a clean drug/alcohol record
- Being qualified to run both trucks rather than one — that is worth more to us
Tell us your real experience on the form below and we will quote you a real number on the call.
The two seats
Dump truck — CDL-B
Runs on a Class B, so if you hold a CDL-B and no Class A you are still eligible for this seat. A CDL-A covers it too. Axle weight is the number that matters on a loaded dump truck — it puts you over a scale long before gross does, and we expect a driver who already knows that.
Hotshot 30 ft flatbed — CDL-A
Needs a Class A because of the combined weight rating. Flatbed work means securement: straps, chains, and tarping when the load calls for it. If you have pulled a flatbed of any length, say so on the form — it counts.
The trucks are in Orlando. You might not be.
We know. We cover your travel to the equipment. That is the entire reason this is open to drivers across FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD & NJ instead of Orlando drivers only — we would rather pay to move the right driver than settle for whoever is closest. If you are already in Florida, you are close to the work; if you would be relocating across the state to run out of Orlando, that travel is covered too.

W-2 or 1099 — your call
Some drivers want the withholding handled and a benefits path. Others want the higher gross and to manage their own taxes. We run both, and it is a question on the form below rather than something decided for you. If you are not sure which suits you, say so — it is a normal thing to talk through on the call.
